RRB NTPC recruitment for graduate posts in Zonal Railways and Production Units:
- Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor
- Station Master
- Goods Train Manager
- Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAAT)
- Senior Clerk cum Typist
π Selection Stages
The recruitment includes five key stages:
- CBT I β Screening test
- CBT II β Main exam for merit
- CBAT β Aptitude Test (Only for Station Master)
- TST β Typing Skill Test (Clerk & JAAT)
- DV β Document Verification
π 1st Stage CBT
Duration: 90 mins (120 for PwBD + scribe)
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer
Nature: Screening; normalized score used for shortlisting to CBT II

π 2nd Stage CBT
Shortlisting: 15 times community-wise vacancies from CBT I
Duration: 90 mins (120 for PwBD)
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer
Same syllabus as CBT I, slightly higher difficulty.
π§ͺ CBAT (For Station Master)
Qualifying Criteria: Minimum T-Score of 42 in each battery
No relaxation for any category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ExSM)
Failure to qualify disqualifies candidate for Station Master post.
β¨οΈ Typing Skill Test (TST)
Posts: Senior Clerk cum Typist, JAAT
Nature: Qualifying (not added to merit)
Speed Required:
- English: 30 WPM
- Hindi: 25 WPM
Exemption: PwBD candidates with β₯40% disability can be exempted by uploading valid certificate.
π Document Verification (DV)
Candidates Called: Equal to vacancies (as per merit)
Tie-Breaking:
- Older candidate gets higher rank
- If age same, alphabetical order of name
Final appointment depends on medical fitness, document verification, and character check. RRBs recommend, Railways appoint.
